Will it work well without a Pixel, Pixel XL phone?

Hi all. I'm a Nexus 6P owner with no plans to upgrade to the Pixel XL.

One detail about Google Home that I've missed is ... how well is Google Home expected to work if a Pixel phone is not part of my home setup? I mean, are there any limitations to Google Home if there isn't a Pixel in the household?

Other phones in the house are iPhones (with Google apps installed), in case that matters.

Thank you.

Google Home is just another way of accessing Google Assistant and Google Search. It does not rely on the Pixel in any way to function.

Although, there might be benefits to using the Pixel with Home... Because Google Assistant is native on both devices, things might flow more seamlessly between the two devices... like the task list created with Home might be easier and quicker to access on the Pixel because of the integration of the Assistant. But I would be very surprised if that same task list is not also accessible on the 6P in some way, it just might not be as easy to get to.

You don't need a Pixel for Google Home.
