Will leaving your wifi button on your phone on eat up data with no internet at your house ?

I use a screen mirror app and it connects using wifi from my phone even though I don't have internet at my house. I forgot to turn off the wifi button on my phone before going to sleep and was wondering if it eats up data.

No screen mirroring is a network capability not an internet capability. It doesn't use the internet to do what it does so it shouldn't use any data

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a limited home internet plan? If not, then it wouldn't matter if your phone was using wi-fi data.
