Do you think that Motorola will update the current Moto X anytime soon, Spring 2014 maybe?

I am thinking of purchasing one soon. Just wondering.

The current Moto X was announced on Aug 1 and went on sale Aug 23. I would anticipate a similar time frame for any updated Moto X.

Do you mean a new phone, or the current one getting 4.4.2?

Yeah, definitely no sooner than August. Motorola still has to get rid of the rest of the stock of the original X.

I would speculate that it will be sooner than August. They are cutting and selling the current X's far too much now. I have a hard time seeing them sell a "flagship" at such a deep price cut for six months+. I guess you can afford it when Google will just soak up your losses for you, but still. It is not something i can see a company that wants to be profitable doing.

Plus August is a really odd time to release a flagship anyway. I will never understand why they did it in the first place. Too may people waiting to see the new iphone and Oct./Nov. android releases. Releasing a flagship would make much more sense in the spring or later in the fall.

I'm hoping that the X will remain mostly the same and take the "budget" spot for NA and Lenovo will introduce a new Moto Hero Phone :D

I'd imagine that since Lenovo wants to break into the NA market then bustin' the door down with a new kick-*** Moto phone would be a good way to do it. Invest in some GOOD marketing. Maybe Lenovo could drop the price on the X due to their relationships with suppliers, etc. and still keep quality up and continue with moto-maker.

Cadillacs and Corvettes sell a lot of Chevys ;)

If they can manage a good ads campaign. Maybe a couple super bowl commercial, taking hits at Samsung, like how Samsung is doing now at Apple, it will turn some eyes.
