Will my device receive the update to Android 4.4?

My phone has mid range specs. Let's just hope Htc remembers to update their past devices. Horrible record of updating phones...

Hi. I have a Motorola i867 with Android 2.1

Do i will be getting KitKat on my device???

No one can know if their OLD Android 2.x or 3.x phone will get KitKat officially unless the manufacturer actually says anything about releasing it. Samsung generally says at some point which phones are getting updates. Also, keep in mind that there IS a significant investment in terms of resources in releasing a new Android version for existing phones, due to needing to actually support the update in addition to any customizations, carrier approval, etc. This is why we don't see updates for every old phone out there, because it isn't always easy, and for phones no longer being sold, there is also a BIG question about how many users will even put in the effort to install the update. Older phones generally don't auto-download updates.

I'm new to android and i have a Samsung Galaxy Centura with OS Ice Cream Sandwich, would i be able to get it (Kitkit) or even 4.3 jelly bean ?

Galaxy Nexus has dual core core processor with 1GB RAM & to top that it's a nexus device but it isn't getting the android 4.4 Moreover ,HTC Explorer is a lower tier device and android manufacturers have a notorious reputation when it comes to software updates, last year's flagship devices aren't confirmed on getting 4.4 so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Honestly no. If your android phone has not recieved an update since 2.3.5 there is no chamce of you getting 4.4 without rooting.

Hello,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (GSM) and a Tab2 10.1. My GNex has Android 4.2.1. And my Tab2 has 4.2.2.
Any chance of receiving KitKat on these devices?

thanks

If you've been reading the news Google will not update the Galaxy Nexus. You should look to find out how to flash custom rom and flash an AOSP rom for it.

According to Motorola's site, the Droid RAZR HD (regular and developer edition), Droid RAZR MAXX HD, Droid RAZR M (regular and developer edition), Electrify M, and the Atrix HD. So, there are some surprises in there, especially the Atrix HD on AT&T. That device never really caught on, and the developer edition isn't listed as getting the 4.4 update ? only the AT&T version. We can't rule out that this is a mistake.

So there it is, last years phones from Big Red will be getting 4.4. When? Darn good question.
