Will my photos automatically save to SD card?

[Android Central Question]

I am just wondering if photos will automatically save to my micro SD card or do I have to manually save them to the SD Card? Thank you!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Open your Camera app and look at its settings. There should be an option to choose the default save location. If you set it to be the SD card, then the photos should save there by default. However, be aware that SD cards are much more prone to failure or data corruption than internal storage, so if these photos are important, also make sure you're syncing them to a reliable cloud storage, or backing them up on a regular basis to a hard drive.
