Hi there!
Today my Galaxy S4 Active stopped working.
I was playing Miitomo and it locked very hard. Did not respond to any button presses. So I pulled the battery. Now it will not get past the AT&T logo.
I have tried all the basic stuff. Went into recovery mode and cleared the cache: didn't help, wiped/factory reset it: didn't help.
Right now I basically have a very bright brick, so I'm willing to do anything to get it working.
I am able to get into both recovery and odin mode.
odin mode info:
Product name: SGH-I537
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
KNOX Kernal Lock: 0x0
Knox Warrenty Void: 0x0
Secure Download: Enable
Write Protection: Enable
eMMC Burst Mode: Enable
I think I might have had the phone rooted at one point but I basically ditched it when I upgraded OTA to Lollipop(?) (The first one with the blue menus?)
I am guessing it's time to force some firmware but this is where I get a little lost.
My first concern is that since I cannot fully boot, I can't turn on USB debugging mode. My other concern is just that there are so many firmware files out there, I want to make sure I am using the right one. It's been quite a while since I've tinkered with odin and firmware things so a close to step by step guide would be handy.
