So i was using Rom Manager and was on Cyanogen and tried to apply the Red Rum theme and when my phone went to boot back up it stuck at the motorola trademark. I did do a backup previously and have the regular update.zip on my SD card. So I pulled the batter and restarted in recovery. I tried to apply update zip, pick backup from the sd card and restore to back up and nothing gets past the trademark screen.

Any tips or just do factory reset and wipe again?

you can try and wipe data it may work. do you an overclock kernel if so make sure its not set on boot

Nope, I didnt download an overclock kernel yet. was just running cyan and a theme and just tried to switch theme

EDIT: wipe and reset didnt even work, what the heck did I do?? lol

anything??

In the mount options while In recovery you will see the option to format system cache boot data format those and restore

did that, when i click restore it says no data found, i assume that puts a kink in things. I tried applying update.zip instead then rebooting and now im in a loop of phone turns on, i see motorola symbol and then goes black and then motorola symbol comes back on.

damnnnnnn after all that i got it, I had to go into select updatezip from sd card then go into clockword then pick something and i found cyanogen 6.2 and its back lol. luckyyyyy

EDIT: not really, phone was back but not market or half the stock apps. I had about 15-20 icons in my app drawer. went into rom manager and it would let me use it cuz i didnt have letest version from market. Ended up going into install rom from sd card and picked random thing and it ended up being the part the sets up the phone and let me sign into google and gave me all the reg apps back. phewwwww. Im DEAD, nighttt
