Will Oreo 8.1 OTA image for Nexus 6p work on Nexus 6

There is no OTA image for Nexus 6 for Oreo 8.1. Will the OTA image for Nexus 6P (angler) work on a Nexus 6 (shamu)?

No, the hardware is different so the hardware side of the build will be wrong. Each device update is tailored to the specific device it was intended for.
