Features built into one phone that don't come on an older one (like macro lens or ultra wide view etc) are different than an entirely software update that older phones can handle. That's a software update in my book. The 23 gets it but not the 22? I spent a lot of money NOT to be left out.Updates are different from features
But if you get an iPhone I have one also and newest models with certain features on those don't always go to older models even though they get software updates.
I agree I don't see a reason AI features wouldn't make it to the s22u but that's not how these manufacturers are unfortunately. We will know for sure once it gets One UI 6.1I don't agree. Features built into one phone that don't come on an older one (like macro lens or ultra wide view etc) are different than an entirely software update that older phones can handle. I understand they plan to sell the "features" as subscriptions even to phones made by other manufacturers? They will work fine on older phones. That's a software update in my book. The 23 gets it but not the 22? I spent a lot of money NOT to be left out.
If this is their plan to sell more disappointing s24 phones it will backfire imo.
I appreciate your opinions and certainly your help on so many issues over the years but I'm done with Samsung if they pull this crap.
I made the title better reflect your opening post and possible displeasure. If Samsung withholds the AI features from S22 Ultra, after promising major updates for 4 years, I'm done.
My next phone will be an iPhone.
I am absolutely furious. I hope everyone dumps Samsung.
