Will swapping out micro sd cards screw things up?

I have 2 microsd cards, the 8gb Class2 that came with the phone and a 8 gb class 4 that I already had. So while playing with my phone, I installed a few apps while playing with the phone, but later at night when I got home, I remembered that I wanted to put the faster card into the phone. Now I had all these apps installed and I rememberd that quite a few of them have permission to modify the card. So, just to be on the careful side, I uninstalled every app, put the new card in, and reinstalled everything.

Do I really need to do this? What would happen if I swap cards with all sorts of apps installed. Will those apps no longer work? Will they redownload what they need to work?

In a few months I want to buy a 32 gb card, and I am sure by that time I will have accumulated even more apps, and I'd hate to do all that again! Would I just be able to use Windows to copy the entire contents of the old card to the new card and all would be well?

Thanks!

Shouldnt matter. If the apps can write to the first card, they can write to the second card. Assuming its formatted correctly.

So when I start an App that had data on the old card, it will, in theory, just redownload what it needs?
