Will the current version of AutoRoot work on the MR2 update?

From what I'm reading, I believe it does, but I'm not exactly sure of the process.

I guess it gets me back to MR1, and then I have to hack in the MR2 radio??

I'd recommend not using the AutoRoot method, causes to many issues. Just do the manual route, it's easy and works if you've taken the OTA MR2 updated. I did it yesterday without a single issue.

Yes it works with the MR2 and you are correct... it will downgrade you back to the MR1, which then you will need to flash the MR2 radio over it again.

We're currently trying to work on a way for the auto root method to be compatible with all future updates... at the moment it still has the MR1 radio built in.

Yes. It's a fairly straight forward process to go back to the MR2 radio ... simply download the file, rename it as instructed, place the .zip file in the root of your sd card, and flash into hboot. Your phone will take care of the rest from there.

Also, quick ?... I downloaded the radio already..

It's named "PG05IMG_Mecha_VERIZON_WWE_1.66.605.2_Radio_1.39.00.0510w_NV_8k_1.41_9k_1.64_release_191132_signed.zip"

I name this to what? I can't find the article..

Thanks a ton peeps!

Regardless of what radio it is, you rename it to PG05IMG.zip. Once renamed, you stick it in the root your sd card (no sub folders) and restart your phone into hboot by holding the power button and volume down at the same time. The phone will automatically search for this file, so once you flash a radio, delete it or rename it to something else (I rename mine x.xxPG05IMG.zip just so I know which version it is) so your phone doesn't keep trying to flash a new radio if you ever need to go into hboot again.

Alright.. all seems well..

I'm on Baseband 1.39.00.0508w, 0.01.69.0510w_3

Is that correct?
