Will the Moto Maxx work on AT&T's LTE network?

I'm on AT&T and my moto maxx is getting great data speeds. But yeah I've never got anything above 30 while doing speed tests which is not LTE I guess? Also, does anyone know if we should be getting lollipop soon or will we not get it cause the moto maxx is imported?

I am not running a custom ROM this is the official retail version of Lollipop. My phone has never said LTE but I am getting LTE speeds. The attached is from yesterday and I have gotten much better before.

I also side loaded Lollipop over the weekend! Works great!

No. Do not get a new Sim. LTE is a US term only. Our glorious carriers decided to call hspa+ as 4g even though it never was. 4g is LTE in the rest of the world. An imported phone will not show LTE as there is really no such thing. You are getting full 4g which the US carries call LTE. It was a marketing gimmick.

The Maxx is an international phone and thats why it shows 4G instead of LTE, same thing though. I have ATT and I have LTE speed.

I would say you side load it, this is not an AT&T phone.

updates roll out from Moto based on IMEI and SN - it doesn't matter what carrier or SIM. The Maxx just started to get Lollipop a few days ago;

RE: 4G, maybe Samsung phones different? But my sil has an ATT Galaxy S3, (lte) where she lives it shows only 4G, she comes down to my neck of the woods it goes to 4G LTE. My droid turbo, Verizon, shows 4G LTE, but if I go to a certain location it will only show 4G.

So I just got the moto maxx. Im only getting h+. Do I need to get a new Sim or update my imei with att? Thanks!

I have the Moto Maxx in NYC on ATT. It always says 4G but my data speeds are ridiculously slow. Never more than 7 mbps and often 5 or less. Have played with IMEI for my old moto x and with the same sim in the same location the Moto x is getting 35 mbps down and 17 mbps up. Is there something on the phone that needs to be enabled? Thoughts?

Did you have to mess with the apns , I've got a Verizon factory unlocked droid turbo and I'm using on crickets network but only getting h+,Ive been looking on Google on how to set it up to get 4g but no luck
