Carrier version you most likely get better deals, and unlocked shouldn't be a problem on Verizon.

Thanks. So, all things being equal (like they currently are), no reason to get a carrier phone, right?

Looks like both carrier and unlocked phone come with a $100 gift card at Best Buy. Unlocked is a no brainier.

It depends on the carrier. I now it doesn't make a difference on Verizon as all carrier features work like Advanced and Wi-Fi calling. I don't know if that's true for every carrier in case you plan on switching.

I forgot to mention some people buy the Verizon version so they can make payments through Verizon or use Verizon for warranty issues. Some are also unaware they can finance through Google.
