Will the pocophone F1 work in the US?

I have been looking at the pocophone F1 since it has amazing specs, is extremely inexpensive, and has a battery that I can replace (no adhesives or glass). I have heard conflicting reports of it's compatibility in the US on t mobile. Some say that it works fine while others claim that it has no signal at all. Who is correct? I would really like to get this phone because I don't know when my LG G4 will die and I want to know what phone to get when it does without needing to do more research. I've been looking at the V20, but the pocophone is so much more powerful and I refuse to get any phone with a glass back or one held on with adhesives since it makes battery replacement very difficult and I don't want to have to get a new phone every 1 to 2 years.

Based on the specs, it looks like LTE compatibility could be spotty. The only T-Mobile LTE band it supports is Band 5 (which might not be common, depending on where you live -- I've never seen it connect in the SF Bay Area).

Or the NYC area or North Carolina. That's 1700/ 2100 MHz AWS, and with everything TMO has, they probably aren't using it much, if at all.

The only place TMO has a native 850 MHz LTE network is Myrtle Beach, SC.
