Will the S22 Ultra 1TB variant be an unlocked exclusive model only ?

I've previously bought T-Mobile-branded Samsung phones since I don't plan on leaving them and for optimal carrier performance.

However, it looks like on the Samsung site that the 1TB model is only available as an unlocked model.

Does anyone know if the 1TB model will be available as a carrier-branded device? The chat support on Samsung's site is absolutely atrocious and the people there have trouble even understanding my question.

From reading recent posts regarding carrier optimizations, it appears that branded and unlocked Galaxy phones perform practically identically in the real world, and any differences are more or less negligible. Given this, I'll probably go ahead and just order the unlocked 1TB when it's back in stock. I'm thinking the extra storage will be far more valuable than any minor hits in performance I might incur on T-Mobile's network. Though if there will be a T-Mobile variant, I'll hold out just to be safe.

Thanks!

FYI, the 1TB unlocked model is back in stock if you're interested.

Does anyone know or has heard anything regarding the 1TB being available on the branded variants in the future?

Ehh screw it with the wait, I just went ahead and ordered the unlocked version. Since the 1TB will most likely be the least produced storage size model, I'm assuming they will only be available as unlocked to keep things simple. The carrier-branded ones will probably top out at 512GB.

Initially, the expected delivery for the 1TB model was 8 April, but the email confirmation now says it's been moved up to 8 March. Only 2 weeks now... I guess manufacturing is ramping up?

If anyone else is trying to purchase the 1TB model and it's showing as out of stock, the availability status updates frequently throughout the day, so don't give up.
