will smart switch work for moto G (5.1) and new Galaxy SII

I bought new Samsung galaxy SII. According to what I read I can't use Kies to transfer data but need to use either Samsung smart switch or similar program from Play Store. Several are available. I realize I am behind on the smartphone curve since S6 is the latest Samsung galaxy phone but the price was right. Any suggestions as to which transfer program works best and doesn't take a lot of space to put on phone since my old Moto G with 8GB of storage is already at almost max.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean a Galaxy Tab S2? Or a Galaxy S II phone? The latter is a very old phone, so are you sure you got it brand new?
