Will there be a fix for gyroscope problems in Honor 8 Emui 5.0.1?

The gyroscope of my wife's Honor 8 went to hell when the emui was updated from 4.1 to 5.0. A short search in the internet revealed, that she's not alone with this problem.

For example Pokemon Go's AR mode is impossible to use because the phone can't make up it's mind which way it's pointing.

Phone is Honor 8, Model number FRD-L19, Emui 5.0.1.

Will there be? Who can tell? But in most cases, most manufacturers have come up with fixes to bad updates. (Samsung, OTOH, once we figured out how to reset the GPS, never bothered - they left it to us to fix our own GPS when it decided to stop working. It wasn't major, it took about 2 minutes to fix, but the fact that they never fixed the code was annoying.)
