I'm looking at this power strip charger thingy for an up coming trip. It's available in 1 and 2.1 amps. Which one do I need for our S5s?
Thanks

This link says "Robot Check" :o I don't know what the heck that is but it takes you to the Amazon page for this item. If you don't want to click on it (I'd be leery too) the name of the Amazon item is...
Belkin SurgePlus 3-Outlet Mini Travel Swivel Charger Surge Protector with Dual USB Ports (2.1 AMP / 10 Watt)

Never mind. I found the answer and ordered the 2.1 amp. It's 2.2 x 5.2 x 7.2 inches and should charge the GN/2014, Jambox and both S5s at the same time. Oh, it swivels too (will sit in the outlet vertically or horizontally).

I have seen that before, would you mind coming back here with a review on it?

From what I read of the specifications, it is capable of 2.1 amps total. Meaning that if you have two S5s plugged in at the same time, each will only charge at a potential 1.0 amp rate.

I personally don't see that as an issue, as nearly all Qi chargers are at about 720-750 mA max anyway and they work just fine. Both of our S5s have Qi chargers installed. I never have to use a USB cord to charge them anymore.

Well almost, if I am using WAZE for an extended period of time then the battery takes a pretty good hit.

I just bought a "Encased" brand windshield suction cup holder designed specifically for the S5. Anxious to try it out and see how well it sticks "and stays on" the glass.

I'll report back on the charger :) I also have this MEGA 8400 mAh (sold out on QVC). Holds it's charge for 9 months. About the size of the palm of my hand. Between the two, I should have plenty of power for the Powerex lithium battery charger, both phones, the Jambox, and tablet.

yes, I believe that you are good to go for an extended stay away from charging sources.

So far, I have not had to worry about that. Our Pontiac Vibe has one cigarette power outlet and also a 110 vac inverter that works quite well with the OEM power adapters.

Also, when we went on our Christmas vacation trip I carried along all of our USB a/c adapters and my Qi Wireless charging pads. Those cloth shopping bags that you pickup in the sports gear stores are great for stuffing stuff like that into

Well, my Ford Flex has 2 usb ports (and charges our phones with the car and key off) and a 110 outlet but we'll be in the middle of the Caribbean Sea :)
Here's something else I have coming in the mail. It also charges portable devices but I got it for the car battery charger part of it. What will they think of next? Easily fits in the glovebox or purse. Holds 80-90% of it's charge for a year. I just gotta find someone with a dead car, boat, tractor, lawnmower, etc battery to test it on :) ShopHQ presentation was very impressive. $87 there. $130 most everywhere else. USB ports are 2.1amps. You can recharge the Jumpack at home or in the car.

Impressive, and yes, I had forgotten you told me of the cruise trip on the Caribbean.

I have no clue as to power availability on cruise ships. surely they would provide a simple 110 VAC outlet for folks who need to recharge their toothbrush and shavers.

I think that with the sum of all of your power packs, you should be good to go...
