Will this car charger work?

Can someone chime in on the output specs for a "standard" EVO car charger?

I have this adapter for my iPod I have connected to my stereo in my truck. Would this work for charging my EVO? I'm assuming USB charged devices use the same DC voltage. But Im not about to assume with my EVO.

input: DC12V
output: DC 5.0V
1.5A peak
1A continuous

The stock HTC wall adapters' output is the same. DC 5V & 1A.

I'm no electrical engineer, but they're the same no?

Yes, I have that one in my car and it works fine. The "quick charge" side puts out 1000mA, so you should use that one for your Evo. The other side only puts out 500mA.
