Will wifi calling with tmobile still work on unlocked Note 8, others?

With the talks of Sprint merging with Tmobile, could this affect wifi calling on unlocked Note 8 and other Samsung models?

Meaning if they become one can they decide to take this feature away since Sprint wifi calling doesn't work on unlocked. I would hope this isn't the case because I wanted to buy the unlocked Note 9 and I use tmobile.

You can install the ''Digits" app to get T-Mobile WiFi calling on any Android phone that supports Wifi.
Incoming SMS messages don't seem to work though.

Even if they do merge it will still take a while before the network and things like that play catch-up so you don't have to worry about this.

Was this the factory unlocked phone or carrier unlocked? Samsung factory unlocked phones are supposed to work with wifi calling on tmobiel.

I've owned several unlocked Samsung phones and WiFi calling has always worked with T-Mobile on them.
