Will you be changing the launcher on your note 7

On my Edge 7, I tried to like Nova on it, because it seemed like I was supposed to prefer it...but always went back to Touchwiz. Something about the Google search bar on Touchwiz looks slimmer than I'm able to get it on any other launcher . It's always too thick on Nova and others. In addition, I like the fact that Touchwiz does not automatically alphabetize aps as soon as I download them, because to me, this makes it harder to find new apps whose names I don't rtemember yet. The only thing that I've wished was the ability to use custom icon packs. However, it's my understanding that starting with Note 7, we'll be able to use the icon packs from any theme from the theme store, without forcing us to use the other theme elements. So if I like one theme's overall look, but prefer the icons from a different pack, I'll be able to customize the look of my phone. I really see no reason to use a launcher other than Grace UX.

I Am Using Nova Launcher Pro now. Love it. I like the way it locks my icons in place so I can accidentally move them. I just installed it on my wife's S5. I got tired of her moving or deleting widgets or icons by accident. I will try the new TouchWiz when I get the phone but most like go back to Nova Launcher.

You know there is an option to freeze screen in Nova right?

You can change the grid size a bit with Touchwiz on the Note 7 ..

No. I think 5 X 5 might be the most, I can't remember. I like Touchwiz now honestly overall though. I used to use other launchers, no longer ..

Yes that is why I like Nova Launcher! That is why I installed it on my wife's phone. The lock saved me a lot of head aches with her phone.

I misunderstood. I thought you meant that was happening in Nova. I'm always messing with my screens so I don't use the feature. I've tried but always end up shutting it off then curse when my weather widget turns up on some other screen

As long as the Edge features and S-Pen apps work (all the S-Pen apps worked on my Note 5 fine, obviously didn't have Edge features to try) I will go Nova Launcher Prime. Love the icon layout, folders, shortcuts and gestures. Nova rocks.

Probably not. Touchwiz has gotten much better over the years. I wrote off Samsung for 2 years, waiting for touchwiz to improve or go away. With the S7, I was very pleased after spending time with it. And by the looks of the Note 7, it's improved again. I guess I'll see when I get my hands on it.

I'm guessing that using the edge features may require touch wiz?

If not I prefer the Google launcher. I really like having Now as my left screen. I will give Grace a shot though, doesn't look that bad.

I hate TouchWiz, so I'm definitely sticking with Nova. Once you get used to all the extra options and settings, being without them feels like a huge hindrance.

The only phone I kept the OEM launcher for a few days is my current daily driver... OnePlus 3. The Oxygen OS is amazing but I want my Gestures.

Nova. If for no other reason than the fact that I can just restore and be all set up in no time. I hate setting things you to the way I'm used to when I get a new phone. Nova makes it nice and easy.

Nova Launcher is the first thing I set up on a new phone. It's very difficult to use any stock launcher because I've been using Nova Launcher for many years.

AL3 for me, the new beta has integrated the leaked Nexus launcher which works and looks great! Plus I really like the new wallpaper picker

I've been using Nova launcher on my note 4 for a while now and love it. However, when I get my Note 7, I'm going to give TouchWiz a chance again, at least for a few weeks just to see the new experience. If I'm not happy, back to Nova we go. Love just having these options!

With TW can you change how many icons are in the tray at the bottom of the screen? And can you make the tray scroll? Can you add swipe actions to the icons?

I am a Nova user and like it very much, but I plan on giving Touchwiz a try for sure on my Note7. As long as I can change icon packs!

Using the Note 7. Kept it on Stock Touchwiz. It seems to work really well for now!
