How many of you will be upgrading your Evo LTE for the HTC One and how many of you will be sticking around for another year with your Evo?

If i was still on Sprint, Yes. But only after the device has been out a few months and at least 1 software update has come out to fix what ever initial bugs are reported.

You left SPRINT right after we finally got LTE in the Metroplex?

Yup. Had to.
Starting in December i started to NOT get incoming calls or texts. Happened on my GS3 and EVO LTE. They then tried modifying my account and updating account / device settings. No help.
I had 3 network trouble tickets in. Ill give them credit, they did try. But in middle Jan i tested TMO and 10 days later i ported out.
I had to either power cycle my device OR make an outgoing call to re-set the issue. BUT it would come back. Sometimes a few hours later sometimes a day or two later.
I started to see a few other posts about other people with similar issues. SO its few and far between but after 11 years of "reliable" voice service and bad data i had to go. I can live with limping data but no calls was bad.
As far as LTE goes, i got it at my office, first few months was 8-10 megs down, the last month it wsa 2-5 down...I also live near down town dallas and NEVER got LTE at home. The roll out for Dallas took to long and in my case caused more problems.
But im rocking 2-20 megs down on HSDPA+ on TMO in Big D, cut my bill by 30 bucks a month and have twice as many voice minutes with the same unlimited data plan.. So i really cant complain. And for me coverage is the same.
To keep it on track, Ill get an HTC ONE on TMO about a month or two after it officially launches.

I really like the build quality of the htc one but i really think I'm sticking with the evo 4g lte for now.

Not eligible for upgrade for quite a while and don't want to deal with trying to sell the LTE and still part $300-$400 for the One so not considering it.

That said, I'm fine with the LTE. While the multitasking isn't great, that's my only real annoyance but I can deal with it fine. The speakers on the One would be nice but I don't listen to music on my phone so that would be a minor perk.

Though I haven't seen the One's screen in person, I can't see how you could improve much against the LTE. While better battery life is always appreciated, the 18+ hours I get easily on a regular day is sufficient.

It will be odd not having Sprints best device as I owned all of them from launch day going back to the Razr 2. But I do feel the One is to the LTE as the 3D was to the OG Evo. Is it better? Most likely, but not really worth dropping a couple hundred bucks for it.

Regardless of what phone you get next I'm sure it will have at least 2 gigs of ram and that will make a big difference. Only having 1gig on the evo was a complaint of mine as well

i will be keeping my LTE... it's been giving me very minimal problems and i don't think i could ask for anything better from a phone. my opinion is that they've (sprint and htc) finally exorcised most of the demons that gave this platform the most problems, it should only get better from here.

I'll have a decent ammount of build quality jealousy, especially if I get my hands on a review unit at some point. But I'm holding onto my evo for another year, and it does have pretty nice quality of it's own.

Yeah, usually i would upgrade every year. Now that there's no new evo this year I think I'm going tp wait. I really want the One, but the evo LTE is still pretty solid. One more update will keep things fresh for me.

I agree with most of you . Staying with EVO 4G LTE . Once they release the 4.2.2 update with sense 5. the phone can hang with the HTC One.

I did my pre order yesterday..definitely the best phone so far in 13..I paid full price and will just sell my evo lte

Sent from my amazing HTC ONE Quietly brilliant!

Maybe. I'll wait for a final say on using it with a foreign SIM abroad. If the One ends up being a worldphone I'll upgrade for sure. Don't get me wrong, I think the EVO LTE is an amazing device and I love it, but the One is downright impressive and pairing that with worldphone capabilities is simply mindblowing...

Love the great reviews the HTC One has been getting. That being said, my HTC Evo 4G LTE has been doing great. I don't see a real compelling reason to upgrade just yet.
