Will you upgrade to a P4/XL?

I'm torn... I have a 2XL and I've literally never had a phone run so still like-new 2yrs in. I'm usually ready to throw the thing in the garbage by then so upgrading biannually wasn't a choice, it was a necessity. Not at all the case with this phone.

If your torn ,maybe give it another year .

Yeah that's what I'm thinking as well. And we are going to get the rest of 4 XL features other than the neural core and emergency alerting. I'm not a very very worried.

I actually might wait and see if they have any Black Friday sales like they did last year with the pixel 3

Go for it. I mean if you have an older phone/older pixel phone such as a 2XL why not? The 3's specifically 3 XL has most of the features that the 4's have. I mean other than that so we radar chip, which ads facial recognition, the screen automatically lighting up for you, And the dual camera on the back which I still don't believe we need. That's about it. Google only really did that because industry standards demand that Google put a secondary camera lens on the back of a phone. I still don't believe it needs it but whatever.

I don't blame you , if I was in your position I would wait by next year see what's available or grab something from 2019 at discount by that time .

I got my Pixel 2 when Verizon ran a Holiday sale 2 years ago & I got it for 50% off over 24 bill credits. It will be paid off in 2 months.
Had to replace original one due to bad USB C port after a year... This current one is working well enough that I see no need to upgrade from a paid off phone.
I would like a slightly bigger screen, but I do not like the idea of losing the fp scanner or the notification LED.
And the battery size really scares me off.... It's one of the few complaints about the P2 - bad battery life when it comes to screen-on time

This is also my first time not to be jumping for a new phone at the 2 year mark. My guess is I will get a 4, and most likely foregoing the XL, but not at launch. I expect to find some awesome Black Friday deals and get it then.

I've been an Android user since the OG moto Android came out, and currently on the P2XL. I'm not paying 899 for the P4XL. I was looking at the OP 7T. However, I think im going to try the dark side with a red iphone 11 for 699. The pixel feature, such as call screening not shared with other Android devices, and the fact that Google just doesn't do hardware well, and then wants a premium price, isn't for me anymore. OP does google better than Google. I think Google has lost their way. I'll hang onto my P2XL, but I think once I'm on the apple bandwagon, it may be hard to get off it.

I'll say this as much regarding OnePlus versus Google Pixel as a brand name. I was going to get the one + 16 before I got my 3XL. OnePlus phones I've heard are good. they hugged me and stopped Android, good go quality, great screens. The cameras are so so. Sure, you can download Google camera apk files And the quality is better but still not as good as pixels. They have more RAM but with stock Android or nearstock Android, how much RAM do you actually need?? I'll tell you after ultimately choosing the pixel regardless of how much of a hardcore Googler I am, I would never go back to anything else!

I'm hoping the 4a will be better value than the P4/4XL. Lots of so so reviews thus far plus a few head scratching decisions by Google on the 4. For me the value isn't worth it.

I've definitely decided to wait at least a month or so and see what kind of sales come up. There's no way I want to pay $1,000 for my next pixel phone. I really need 128 gigs so I would have to buy the more expensive model. My 2 XL keeps chugging along though!

That's what I'm doing waiting for good deal , pix 2xl is a excellent phone especially if it's not giving you issue yet .

I like some of the new features on the pixel 4 XL, but I really think Google dropped the ball in some areas.. It definitely needs a bigger battery, more storage, fingerprint scanner (onscreen if possible) and wide angle camera lens. At it's present price for 128g storage I can't justify the price... I can get spend $100 more and get a Note 10+.. My Pixel 2 XL is working just fine!

My mum is giving me £250 towards it and we got it on 0% interest for 12 months. I love my 4XL. Not sure the camera is much better than my P2XL though.
