Will your GNex last until your next upgrade?

With cool phones like the SGS3 and countless others that haven't been announced yet, do you think you will get "the bug" and buy a new phone at full retail or will you wait until your next upgrade? Personally, I love my GNex and have no plans on ditching it before my upgrade.

Won't get any new phone until my upgrade date is here. I still prefer Galaxy Nexus over SGSIII.

SG3 is Samsung's last shot with me. If it sucks like the 4 GN's I had before I switched to Maxx then Samsung is dead to me.

I got my Nexus with the insurance on it because I knew I would be keeping it at least until the next Nexus comes out...if Verizon even gets one.

Mine did not. I got a RAZR MAXX :) Sad Samsung did not do a better job with the phone

I will be keeping my gnex for awhile, I doubt I ever subsidize my phone on Verizon again if I have to change my plan, I think I will go the gsm route as it seems Google is more in tune with those model nexii.

I will only ever buy a nexus phone. I have a gs2 and want stock ics and fast updates. So its either a nexus or new iPhone if they make it bigger.

Definitely happy with my GNex. I haven't had the problems with mine that others say they have had. I am going to hold off on the S3 and see what comes out later this year. I would definitely LOOK at the new Iphone if they make the screen larger.

Mine is a company phone. I generally get the "next great thing" when it comes out. I've been looking at the S3 with some desire. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.

My biggest requirement is to keep unlimited data. The guy on my staff that works with our Verizon rep is a miracle worker and he assures me that I'll be able to switch phones and retain my unlimited plan even after the end of June. If so, I may be looking at the S3.

We always have over 70 phones that have renewal availability so I could change phones weekly if I needed to. Upgrading isn't an issue, it's the sleight of hand needed to keep unlimited data.

Keeping mine till my next upgrade. Hopefully the quad core devices will be fully implemented and supported by the OS by then.

At least that long, perhaps well beyond that if I have to pay full retail for the upgrade. The new plan does not impress.

The phones on the horizon are incrementally better (hardware wise) to a proper gnex at their very best (imo and is impressive to say 7mo post release in today's tech world), so I am happy to say my nexus will last me at least as long as I expected. That was about a year. Now that I've delved into the amazing world of custom roms etc., I foresee me keeping this phone for much longer than I expected. Nothing can touch the gnex in that sense and I don't expect that'll change until at least the next nexus, but the dev community will likely keep it fresh for months even afterwards.

I am not paying full price either. This phone should last through next August. I have my son's line that is up this August. That's probably the only line that will be upgraded this year. Hopefully they run another double data promotion around that time to make the hit more bearable. Since I only update when my 20 months is up, it's not even a consideration for me. That's why I try to choose wisely when my time is up.

My past 3 phones have been kept for about a year each. Will probably do the same with the GNex

I will sniff out the bigger/badder iPhone 5 next. If it's cool then I might go for that. I still love the GN though, I'm not itching to ditch.

Yes. Absolutely. This Galaxy Nexus is the best Android experience I've had. Starting with blackberry, I've had several smartphones in the past few years. And the novelty always wore off after a few months. So far, not with this device! Galaxy S3 doesn't impress me much at all. I'll be in it for the long haul with this one..
