Oh, most certainly Doze. Or at least imroved battery life, however they do it.

Even with the 'sub-par' battery on my Nexus 5 I was getting through a whole day and still having 60% of my battery left. Then, after Lollipop I'm lucky to have 30 on a good day. Put a long phone call or the need to use the GPS for navigation in there and if I get to stop the bleeding at 15% if I'm lucky.

Why my phone should turn into a handwarmer (or should I say pocket warmer) after Lolipop was supposed to deliver -improved- battery performance I'll never know.

But that is what I want. My battery life back.

I would say that I am excited for better permissions management. Running CM right now on the N6, which has the privacy guard. Still, native OS support for it would be awesome.
