Win a Samsung Droid Charge! @DroidLanding Twitter contest

Looking at the source code for the page, it has the lat/lon coordinates of each point on the map. Whether they're accurate or not is another story. But, anyway, you can get them from this (I cut some of the extraneous data out):

Actually, I think this is just where they are locating their maps for the image. But since mine is close to home, it won't hurt.

Edit: and you pointed it out already. Reading comprehension failure! I am adequately prepared for finals week though I have none.

Found the coordinates in Columbus ohio. Man. I'm not driving two hours on a whim...wish it was closer :(

Well DC's is out in the middle of the woods. These have to be placeholders.

I read the rules and they mentioned you would have 4 hours to claim the certificate after the final clue has been released. So we're pretty much just wasting time it seems.

Yeah, DC is the closest to me and I noticed that too. I'm guessing they're placeholders too. But, I think as the time goes on, the coordinates will migrate to the actual points -- akin to the "scanner" getting more and more accurate. Just a guess though.

Yea, I've been looking at the maps for a while. It went from 6 vague blocks to a few more in the northeast to where we are now. There's almost little reason to check it out until Wednesday.

Apparently there's 16 in cities and 16 giveaways. I think the giveaways are what matter now.

Edit: well they both matter. But until they give out the final clue, the giveaways are more relevant.

Updated lat/lon coordinates are on the site. Go to chargelanding.com and in your browser, view the page source code and the coordinates are there. Or you can click on the map and hit the "+" key on your keyboard to zoom in (using the mouse scroller will get it off center). For those close to one, go get a Charge!

@Dolfan...

Sorry, but thats already been hashed out earlier in this thread. Those coordinates are placeholders for the google maps API and not the locations of the phones. If you read the rules and regulations, they will tweet the location and then you have 4 hours to find the certificate.

That was yesterday's coordinates. They've changed. That's what I was alluding to. And these now appear to be much more real. For instance, the DC location was off in some woods yesterday, but now it's on the Soldiers Home Cemetary.

Yea. Check out the DC one. It has actually moved. Nothing to get excited about unfortunately until tomorrow. I really was hoping this contest would be a lot more fun.

Also, there was nothing at the Atlanta site. Granted, I only looked around for 5 minutes but it's state government building, I don't really want to loiter unnecessarily. I checked a variety of places.

I saw that. If I wasn't 3-1/2 hours away from the DC one, then I'd go check it out. It'd be much more fun for me if it wasn't so far away. But, I wouldn't have expected it to be that close to me anyway.

Long and Lat for New York, NY is this address:

195 Sullivan Pl
Brooklyn, NY 11225

Anyone near there?

Per twitter 50 minutes ago: New York City, Minneapolis, and Phoenix coordinates in two days.

Honestly, I don't see why they couldn't just do this all in one day. The phone's out tomorrow too.

Yeah, I live pretty close to one of the map locations, im just waiting for them to officially mark the town (and maybe change the coords) then I'm hitting the town!

Yeah i dont understand it either, doesn't end until May 5. Ill be playing with my new phone while who ever is actually doing this is running around like a mad man looking for it, if there are actually people out there looking for this phone. This contest is kinda dull because of this device not be highly anticipated.
