More and more games and movies made in 3D. Everything going to 3D. And this is wonderful. I wanna jump in this train)

I would love to get this! I love cardboard, but a slightly upgraded version would be great! Plus, I just cracked the screen on my G3 and need a replacement!!

What excites me the most about VR is the fact that the technology is SO much better than 20 years ago.
Applications in education, medicine and computer modeling are just a few that get me pumped.
People who are bedridden/shut ins could now travel to places and literally get a first hand view; or imagine people getting a view from the ISS and spacewalks in their own personal imax-like experience, amazing!
It may be a cliche, but this is a truly wonderful time to be alive.

What excites me about this is that it is helping to bring previously unreachable technology (due to price, hardware, etc.) to the masses. What good is technology if the audience it was intended for can't access it?
+1 to LG and Google and +1 to Android Central for another chance at an awesome prize. Fingers Crossed ... Sprint version please. :)

It's safe to say we are all electronic buffs here. We all have different or similar reasons to win this. For me VR seems to be the wave for the future these days most of these prototypes are finally nearing the moment when VR transitions from developer dream to a retail reality. Last time I remember having a VR equipment was Nintendo's attempt with the Virtual Boy. Boy have technology come a long way... VR is really a different way to look at the world, a new medium for story telling as well. I read about the excitement of VR and my imagination just runs wild. To be able to have one and try it out myself would be beyond great. To be part of the VR movement is extraordinary to me and to win as well a LG G3 with it is icing on the cake. Thank you for at least the opportunity and good luck to all. #fanboy #VirtualRealityCheck

Might just be me, but I'm really looking forward to watching movies and shows in a virtual theater. Pop on a nice set of surround sound headphones, and let the immersion begin! Games will eventually be great, too, but I'm not convinced that the mobile hardware is up to the task just yet.

Virtual reality has vast potential beyond the entertainment experience. It will serve as a wonderful opportunity for health care providers to assist their clients! I'm an occupational therapy student in NY and have co-written a paper on the potential for VR and app developers to help people in recovery from stoke. With the help of a friend who is studying to become a programmer, we intend to begin research and development of such VR applications upon graduation and completion of our OT certification. So far, google cardboard has been decent, but a more substantial platform would definitely be of great benefit moving forward. Should anyone at AC be interested in reading our paper, feel free to ask and we would be happy to send you a copy.
