Let's face it, there are a lot of you out there with the original Motorola Droid, and it's probably starting to look a little haggard. Tell you what: We're going to give one lucky person our (mostly) brand new Motorola Droid 3. And being the benevolent bloggers that we be, let's sweeten the deal. Here's what we'll do:

• One lucky person will will our Motorola Droid 3. (You'll be on your own for Verizon's service, though.) And we'll throw in $50 worth of accessories from the Android Central Store, too.
• One other lucky person's gonna get a $50 store certificate, plus a free Android Central T-shirt.
• And three more of you will win Android Central T-shirts.

What do you have to do to win? Take a picture of your old and busted phone. Doesn't have to be a Motorola Droid. Could be any smartphone. Or, hell, a feature phone. So long as it's old and busted. (But don't go dragging your RAZR through the streets, ya dig?)

I would hope to win the Droid 3 for my mom. This is her phone at this moment, the Samsung SCH- U650 AKA Sway. The screen doesn't work, but does light up white at the bottom as in the pic. It will also power off when it decides it wants to. You have to cycle it on almost 10 times for it to stay on as well. I've tried my best to get her a new phone, but she insits the phone works well and that it's worth paying to get fixed. Gotta love your parents

here is my old KRZR... I am a born MOTO fan and even now...!! Since my first phone was MOTO and kept this phone till now. but now this phone's screeen goes white... so I only receive call or speed dial... So I really want to try DROID 3!!

My 11 year old audiovox cdm-9000 with its original 11 year old battery still works perfectly, but the bastards at the local verizon store won't let me activate it. They claim it's too old!!! I really need that droid 3.:'(

I almost forgot about this contest... glad there was a reminder.

This phone was shared by the guys at our receiving docks and was in active use until the beginning of this year. Last year It fell out of one of their pockets and was half run over by a tow-motor. They squished it back together and pushed the power button to find that it still turned on, so they made it a more permanent / durable / usable assembly and used it for another four months until it wouldn't power on any longer. But as you can see in the photos, it still has power when plugged in!

They claim that to the end this thing had better reception than their current phone ( Casio GZ1 ) so maybe they'd be happier with a Droid 3?

They told me I could keep it if I won, but maybe their tune will change when they're playing Angry Birds on a slow, hot weekday.

This is my second droid because the same thing happened to the first one. After a long period of use the keys would start to fall off, thankfully the missing keys can still be pressed and work.

I fell on the chocolate 3 while skating. It was my excuse to get the Droid 2, the Droid 2 met it's match when I found out it had a locked bootloader (jk)

My brother actually borrowed it, and left it on a car. I came home to him saying "I found a bug in the new ROM you flashed" I came over and my jaw dropped. Androids have been a little short in our house now.

Granted, I take better care of my smartphones when they're in my possesion now I'm not so inclined to share them anymore

This is a great contest. My phone is near totally dysfuntional although it looks ok. Which is still no good to me because software wipe etc have not helped and i have no options with Sprint at the moment which has pushed me to the end of my rope.

Going for Verizon which is a plus with the contest. My worry though is that because my phone does not appear busted that i'll be rulled out.

My issue is hardware/software related internal.

I got the very original HTC Dream G1. the reason why you can see the status bar but the screen is all black is because there is at least a 1-minute lag whenever I open up an app. and my G1 is also about twice as thick as the original because I had to put an extended battery in there....and this one still doesnt even last a whole day!

My scratched up enV touch with horrible battery life. The spring in the clip broke so I had to put packaging tape on the back to hold the battery in.
