I highly doubt that ME has the capability to be teathered via a USB connection. If I recall correctly ME doesn't support USB, or at least only supports USB 1.

I hate to say it but time to find XP somewhere...

It's probably time to upgrade, ME was dropped like a hot potato pretty quickly. Perhaps look into a Linux variant (Ubuntu is popular and fairly user-friendly) if your computer is too old for 7 (or XP if you must - but don't blame me when you have issues upgrading to IPv6 or viewing web pages that require SNI).

Win9x drivers aren't made anymore as those OSes were OEL'd years ago. This is either a troll or a problem with the space time continuum.
