me either, heres one more thing it could be, are you using the stock kernel? or do you have a different one? because im having to use the stock one, that might be conflicting with it somehow.

i tried flashing the kernel from simon thats on the first page, and it kept on aborting the install in the recovery.

and i cant get a hold of the OC kernel because the link is dead, so yeah.

Yeah I can teach you. When I get some ram n ill write a script. Then you can build in cygwin. If I get the Octo core I can build a Rom on ssd in 5 minutes. I will order as soon as I can then write a script for you

alright that might work, ive honestly never had to install from a backup, idk if its any different, but im sure either way it cant be hard to do, if you could fill me in on how to do it, that would be great

either way, if it still doesnt work, then we'll know its somehow my phone, not the rom, which would suck :/ but at least ill know for sure

alright thats ok, i can deal without wifi for now on the old rom, at the very least a OC kernel to go with it would be wonderful, but i can deal with it how it is

kind of off subject, how hard would it be to remove sense completly and replace it with the stock android launcher and apps? cuz you know how slow sense can be at times, and also how much space it takes up.

im not saying to change the entire rom simon has made, im more curious then anything, because i personally dont like sense at all

ive seen senseless roms around quite a bit, but non of them are for the marvelc, and if they are, there broken in some way, which really sucks

Actually not hard at all becuease one time i was wondering if i could replace sense with something else so i unistall all the sense apps and replaced them with Go (they have GO SMS Go Lanucher ex and stuff) apps and it worked but its kinda unstable but its replaceable tho

hmm, interesting, how do they do it on cm7? cuz theres no sense on there, and its 100% stable.

i can see how using Go, or ADW would be unstable, since they can be uninstalled, which im sure would cause everything to crash if it were, is there a way to make whichever launcher you choose show up as a system app so it cant be uninstalled as easily?

you know what, i was just thinking about that, and your right, cuz i just put adw ex on my phone, and realized they both look exactly the same xD i cant believe i didnt notice that till you mentioned it lol

oh! i had a question i forgot about till now, you know that awesome screen on/off animation cm7 comes with? the one that resembles an old tv turning on and off? is there anyway to implement that into say, the SS rom? or would it have to be compiled into the rom itself and flashed as a whole instead of seperatly?
