So I was slightly inebriated the last time I was installing a ROM and when I was wiping everything I apparently chose "wipe battery stats". My phone works perfectly and nothing appears to be wrong with the battery life. My issue is as follows:

Ever since I wiped battery and flashed Shell ROM I no longer get the exact battery remaining. The battery meter only goes down in increments of 20. So after many hours of use my phone will jump from 100% to 80%....then after using some more it will jump from 80 to 60. Does anyone know how to get the exact battery statistics back? I want to see if its 72% or whatever...not just increments of 20.

Lmao. I don't know why but this just made my day!

Haha ya....that'll do it :)

Yeah I've never wiped battery stats before so I automatically assumed that had to be the cause lol.

when you do wipe the battery stats (I know that you didn't mean to) do it when your phone is fully charged and let the battery go until it completely dies and shuts your phone down or it won't be very accurate

just saying

Thankfully my phone was at 100% when I did the wipe and I did also completely run it down to zero/shutdown because I thought thats what was needed in order to restore proper statistics lol. I may have been wrong about that but at least I reset the battery properly I suppose.

You are correct, start at 100% and use it until it shuts itself off, This is how you recalibrate your battery.

Just to clarify, fully charge, fully discharge until it powers itself down, then reset battery? I always was under the impression to do it from a completely full battery. I have never done a bat reset but want to know how!

Fully charge, wipe bat. Stats, then discharge all the way.
