Anyone gotten 6.0.1 yet......

Just wish I knew what path at&t was headed down. N,R, or X? Maybe they're skipping MRA builds all together and heading for MMB.

What does it matter? All versions of MM work on AT&T. If they didn't, Google wouldn't make the images available. I've used K, R and now 29K on AT&T with no issues. Just because AT&T hasn't released their OTA doesn't mean you can't flash the image yourself. It's a Nexus phone. They're meant to be flashed.

Flash the latest 6.0.1 and it will work just fine.

I now have 29K on my N5, N6 and N7 (2013) and all work just fine.

Kinda does, for me anyways... As I understand it, if I install a build that isn't approved by at&t... I fall out of the line. Basically no more OTAs. I'll have to side load an ota or flash system image that puts me back on track, so to speak. Not wanting to have to manually flash all my updates...

But side loading an OTA or flashing a complete image is so easy with NRT. Why be at the mercy of AT&T?

You could go ahead and flash 6.0.1 and still be ahead of whatever AT&T is doing.

But that's up to you, of course.

FDR should be workable, just have a try.

Have they still not officially released the MM update for the N6? I couldn't stand waiting and took the Sprint update path.. doing this though means my boot animation is still the Lollipop one with the spinning colored dots.

After I flashed 6.0.1 my boot animation is still lollipop too. Do u know why?

That's because the stock images don't touch that /oem partition where all the AT&T garbage resides. The only way to get rid of the AT&T stuff, including the lollipop bootanimation is to erase that oem partition. You can do this with a rooted device or with fastboot and an unlocked bootloader apparently. (I have an unlocked bootloader and I can't get fastboot to erase the /oem partition but others have had success)

Erasing it also removes the stupid super loud AT&T boot sound, all the AT&T ringtones, etc.

Yeah, but...

In the NRT app, it doesn't recommend doing that when the update is large or if your going from one version to another (5.1.1 to 6.X). To me, an OTA is just "fragmenting" the OS and sometimes causes weird things to happen which is why sometimes you have to do an FDR to fix those issues. Of course, when you do an FDR, you loose everything anyway.

To me, it's not that big of a deal to just wipe the phone and do a fresh install. Everything just runs smoother.

I had thought about trying to do just that (install the new image without wiping) this time, but if things start acting up, it will just take more time than it would if I just did a new install to begin with.

I updated my both my N5 and my N7 (2013) to MMB29K (6.0.1) this morning. So far, no issues. Everything seems to be working good. Going to start on the N6 after lunch.

So going form 6.0 to 6.0.1 shouldn't be an issue with NRT? I'm impatient and dont want to wait for the N6 OTA, so I'm thinking of appying 6.0.1 using NRT but without wiping. There's not much documentation on their site for this.. any ideas on how to do this?

EDIT: Nevermind, found a video. Just opt'd for Flash stock and No Wipe.
