I ordered on the first day we could a few hours after it opened......now the site says 2-3 weeks for delivery. I chatted with sales rep and he confirms they are pushing back order deliveries 2-3 weeks.

Total BS.......should have just kept my order with Sprint. Try to save a few bucks and got screwed. Now I just get it in the store.

mine says awaiting inventory as well but i clicked on est delivery date and says this

Yeah, the chat option is only available during their business hours apparently. I assure you it is there during those times.

I also don't expect you to take my word for it and blindly cancel your order, but I would contact them if waiting a couple weeks is of concern to you. I hope they give you a better answer than they gave me, but from what I was told, I was not willing to wait and see what would happen.

I will say that I ordered with amazon, got a (semi) confirmed ship date, called amazon customer support to reconfirm that no delays were expected, and then cancelled my wirefly order.

my view is unless your phone is broken and you need a new one soon, what's a week or 2? I guess the way I view money is a lil different then some of you. I don't mind spending money, and not cheap either, but I just hate wasting unnecessary cash. $80 is like 2 tanks of gas, haha. my ns4g is still working, what's the big rush? not canceling my order like some of you, just going to wait and see what happens. perhaps too many of us ordered under the 119 price and wirefly is betting some of the impatience ppl to cancel? haha, that's just a wild guess.

I never have understood this. The same thing happen when the original EVO came out. What does HTC do make these things by hand....?? You would think when a new phone comes out they know everyone will want one and have a boat load of them ready before release date.....

It's all got to do with cost. If HTC manufactures a metric crapload of devices in anticipation of huge demand and the demand ends up being lower than projected, then it ends up being an additional cost to HTC for the manufacturing and the unsold inventory. Lots of businesses purposely maintain low inventories for that reason.

Just did BB pre order in store. Got a confirmation printout. Guy said all pre orders will be filled for the 18th. $149.00 after $50.00 dollar gift card. It isn't $119.00, but it is better than $199.00 + tax. Guy was pushing the OG EVO buyback for $50.00. I didn't do it, saving it for back up.

The OP ordered his on 5/7 I believe. I ordered mine 5/8 at around 9:00am

Look guys, I ordered on 5/7 around 9pm and my status said something along the lines of awaiting inventory. Not 2-3 weeks like some of you others.

I decided to chat online with "diego" and he said that it was 2-3 weeks for all orders and they would ship them out first come first serve. I told him I wanted to cancel so he offered me a pouch and a bluetooth headset. I declined.

I would have waited but I start summer school on the 23rd and I want to tinker with it and have it set up by then.

Aren't all of the orders pre-orders? Every order is a pre-order until May 18. The Wirefly rep doesn't make sense.

i got off phone with wirefly they stated that preorders have priority and scheduled to ship out on the 18th of may they will send us emails with updates
