Wirefly Unboxes the Thunderbolt!

Did Bob bother to read anything about the device in depth at all? It's such a basic review so far.

What is up when he put it on landscape and the home screen did not flip to landscape? Even my crappy BB storm's flips its homescreen to landscape when I turn it...What is up with that?

I'm surprised that there weren't any headphones included in the box.

I wish the would just give us a release date so my mind can relax.

Instead of bottom just put it on the right side of the phone... the side that points up when using the kickstand.

Out of the box some phones are locked in portrait, you just have to go into the menus to turn orientation detection on. That's what happened with my droid pro.

Actually, Android doesn't support rotating of the home screen. It never has. That's not just because orientation lock is on.

Sense is made to be a portrait only interface anyways. I can't remember right now but both of my co-workers have DXs and I believe those turn into landscape when on the home screens but I could be wrong.

I have had the droid, droid 2, and the x and none of them rotate on the home screen unless I had the keyboard out on the droid and the 2, but with the keyboard in they would not rotate either.

I have a droid 1 running the latest project elite rom and it now rotates the home screen without the keyboard out. Theres also now a setting for that feature on the phone. It still is running android obviously so it does work.....with the proper rom.

Right, but that's only because the software has been modified to support it. Android in itself doesn't support accelerometer rotation of the homescreen.
