I have a note 8 and a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX. The wireless connection is working pretty well. I have the new Android Auto screen. I still have one error message at the beginning that says your device will be disconnected. I just cancel the message and everything is fine. I'm trying to determine how to avoid this message. I have ran all the android updates and I have the latest firmware on the Pioneer.

I'd contact Pioneer about that. We don't even know what triggers the message.

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this to the Android Auto forum for more specific traffic.

Try clearing the app cache/data from the Android Auto app on your phone (if you have it installed).

Thanks Rukbat.
I did contact Pioneer and they did have a reference to the error message and they said it was a communication error but did not have a solution. I guess the ball is in there court. Samsung tech support did not have any information on the error message or any suggestions. That leaves android and Pioneer and if Android doesn't know about the error message that leaves Pioneer. It is so much work and expense to put the unit in a car I'll probably just live with the extra step to cancel the message but it's annoying.
