Wireless charger for Droid Maxx

Re: Wireless charger for Maxx

I am thinking about getting the one from Verizon.... It is only fourty dollars and has good reviews.

Me too. Thinking about using Isis to get $10 rebate and buying it.

But I think I'd want something that my Nexus 7 2013 could use too.

The Tylt looks to be a pretty solid charger so I might end up going with that one.

T-Mobile has a 25% discount on accessories, which takes the TYLT VU down to about $52. To me, the convenience of the design is worth a $10 premium over a flat charger.

Throw my vote in for the Tylt.. Think I paid $90 and would buy again.

I may get the ghost 100. its on ebay for $19.95 free shipping. Otherwise I will stick to my Fonus and Verizon 2.1A led micro usb home chargers. They seem to be doing well on my micro usb ports. I really don't want to have my device heat up accidentally. And now that my bootloader is unlocked I will want to keep this phone for as long as possible...

I have the LG, Nokia, and choetech. The choetech ran really hot compared with the other two. The Nokia one is $25 from at&t,buy 2 get 10% off, 3 get 25% off

I also have a Tylt. It's great - the phone does not heat up at all (I have another Qi charger in my car that does heat the phone, though never higher than 98F). And placement is very liberal - you do not have to precisely place it at all. And charging stops as soon as the phone hits 100%, so it will not sit and keep taking charge and heat the battery.

I got one from ebay, a qi wireless charging pad for...(various phone names in listing)

Works great. $9.78 (yes, that's nine dollars and 78 cents) including shipping.

Could you post a link please? I tried looking but all I found for that price was one with a Samsung adapter included which I don't need.

I use the powerbot one from Amazon for about $20. Works great! Charges very fast with 2.1 a plug.

Just got a wireless charger... Nokia one at AT&T for five bucks... Closeout sale... Question is: doors anybody know how to change the notification sound when I put the phone on the charger? It's extremely loud and annoying..

If you're rooted, you can remove the existing sound file (it's .ogg format), rename the sound you want to the same filename, and voila! I used the charging sound from my old webOS phones I miss so much!

I'd link to the forum post on XDA that explained it, but I can't find it on my phone right now. If you search XDA for "Droid Maxx wireless charging sound" you should find it. Good luck!

If you're not rooted the best you can do is to put the phone on silent, put it down on the charger, and then turn sound back on. On silent mode or vibrate only the phone won't make the obnoxious sound.
