Wireless charging Issue!

I just bought a new wireless charger. The round one by Samsung. My charge was at 15%. I kept for charging nd at that time it showed around 2 hrs nd 15 mins. Aftr min or two the charging time changes to 4 hours.... Tried keeping it back again, the same thing happened aftr a min! Have anyone got any idea what to do?

The wireless charger won't charge your phone at the same speed as the fast charger will. Usually when I put my phone on my wireless charger at night, I have about 30% left on charge and it takes about 4 hours to get to 100%.

If you are looking to charge it quicker, I would suggest using the fast charger that came with the phone.

Ohh so it's common, thts a relief. It actually showed about 2 hrs nd 14 minutes at starting nd initially changed to 4 hours. Thts wt worried me. All's good. Thanks.

What? I'm using a choe charger and mine goes from 30% to 100% in about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

I'm using the samsungs round qi charger. It charges fast if the phone is off. But nt tht fast if it's on nd idle! Is it common for every Samsung qi chargers or just mine? Says around 4 hours at 15%

It charges better now 2 hrs 20 min rate from 20%. I'm good to go.

That's quite good. Yeah usually my phone takes between 3 - 4 hours to fully charge. Doesn't bother me as I'm sleeping at the time

Yeah same here. Even if it took 3 or 4 hours, it wouldn't matter. I'm sleeping!

Well, they say to slow charge lithium ion batteries so fast charging is bad. Wireless charging creates heat and heat is bad for batteries. So that leaves slow charging your best bet. Me personally, i use wireless and fast charging when ever i can.

I have the TYLT solo charger and I believe the phone gets hotter on it then on the stock Samsung wireless charging pad.

My practice is to put the phone on airplane mode and toggle back the wifi connection. It will be faster and less hotter.

But still, I prefer cable charger

I believe the Qi standard is 1A charge rate using a 2A source for input (usually AC adapter). If you use a small mah rated source, it will charge correspondingly slower. I don't believe any chargers break that 1A limit. The faster you charge, the more it heats the battery. At some point, you could rupture the cell and you will have a fire when the Lithium meets air. Or, when the battery heats it can bulge and destroy your phone, or heat damage adjacent components. The S6 Edge reportedly has an issue where the rapid charger leads to the battery cooking the accelerometer chip.
