Is anyone having issues wireless charging the phone? I set it on my samsung charging stand that works fine with the s7e and the s8+ continuously keeps pausing charging. Tried it with no case as well. Same issue.

Charged it overnight on a generic charging pad. Worked fine. Using a spigen case also

I had this exact problem today. I was using the power adapter that came with my S8. It would continuously saying wireless charging paused. I plugged my wireless charger into an iPad adapter and it is working fine now. I think the adapter that comes with the S8 is just not powerful enough.

I have no wireless fast charging toggle, only wired fast charging. Other TMobile people have reported the same, yet others on TMo say they have it. There appears to be no rhyme or reason.

I didn't have any issues last night using the new wireless fast charger. I plugged in an anker fast charger wall wart, USB 3 cord and was good to go.

So if I don't actually have the fast wireless charging toggle on my phone, does anyone know a way I can enable it please so I can use my shiny new fast wireless charger?

Did you actually place it on the charger yet? Until you do, you won't see this option.

Yes I have. Unfortunately, the option doesn't appear. The charger keeps pausing and unpausing fast charge until my phone tells me there has been irregular power charging.

Just researching this a little. I read about nearby magnetic fields interfering, case or no case can make a difference and if all else fails, it could be an app setting.

No case on when I first tried it. A case on now, same result. I've tried the unit on the floor away from everything else in my room, with five different cables, including the original ones, and three different QC2.0 fast charge bricks, including the original Samsung one. All give the same result.

I have no idea what i'm doing wrong.

Tried again with an old iPad charger plug as suggested above and voila... Worked straight away and everytime. So for me it was obviously the charging plug that came with my s8+ that wasn't working for me and I'd already tried a few different cables before hand

OK, so being that my fast charger is a non-Samsung one, am I required to use a Samsung one in order for the Wireless Fast Charge option to appear in settings for the first time?

I can't find anything else on this issue with a Google search so I feel it must be user-error on my part.

I have last years samsung fast charger where the phone stands up. I put the phone on the charger with like 11% for its first ever charge since getting the phone and it said from 11% it was going to take 2 and a half hours for a full charge. Does this sound like my charger is working right? I mean i know it won't take 15 minutes but 2 and a half hours to charge full from 11% does not sound right.

I had this same issue last year with the S7 edge. I returned the standard Samsung wireless charger to them that had come with the Adaptive Fast Charging brick and the replacement wireless charger that they mailed to me came with a regular charging brick. I think the Adaptive bricks are the problem and those that have used other bricks successfully seem to back it up.

Sounds right as fast wireless is no where near as quick as wired charging.

I own both the Samsung fast charging stand and the Samsung fast charging pad. Both of them fast charge for at least eight hours without any interruption.

do you think i need to disable the built in screen saver in order for it to charge quicker?

i think i might have solved my problem. it seems to be fast charging now since i disabled the screen saver. It said it was fast charging but it really did not seem to work till i disabled the screen saver under display
