Wireless charging issuss

I own both the Samsung wireless chargers and other brands. It's the newest ones that pop up or flat. Now my note 8 use to work in the Samsung ones but now it doesn't and after about 10 seconds it starts to flash the blue light. No matter where or position I have it. My old s7 edge works fine in the chargers. The note 8 works fine on other brands that I have as well. The Samsungs are hooked up to the charger that came with the phone too.

Anyone have suggestions?

Yeah, it's not just your Note 8, our 2 Note 8s are the same. If we leave them on the old fast wireless charger it may actuality loose it's charge, screen comes on and goes off and the phone shows charging. If I can find the exact place to charge it, it will work but it is always a hit or miss. I do charge both phone thru 2 cases, a leather billfold with a plastic case to hold the phone. I have used these for years with no other issues. Newest Samsung convertible is fine. other brands fine, Samsung regular charger fine. 1 year old Samsung Fast charger- it sucks. I know your frustration.

I have the same problem, it used to work fine, now I have to place the phone(note 8) horizontally for it to charge. Also seems to take quite a bit longer to charge. What's up with that?

Looking around, issues with wireless charging seem to be pretty common, and having the phone replaced isn't a sure thing of having a phone where wireless charging works!

I have a 3rd party wireless charger at work and a Samsung's fast wireless charger (the one that came as a deal with Note 8) at home, and I have issues with the Samsung one almost every day. The 3rd party one at work works flawlessly. Samsung is slacking!

Yep, so the Samsung ones started to fail on my S7 Edge too now where my aftermarket ones like Anker work just fine. Samsung ones are junk!

I've never had a Samsung wireless charger fail, but they are super picky about location. I have a few $20 fast chargers that work as good, aren't as nicely built, but are much better at drop and charge. not saying they charge faster, just less picky.

Anker is awesomeness. BUT, no matter which charger you use, get the CORRECT charging cables! It DOES make a difference.

The fact that your phone charges using 3rd party chargers leads me to believe that it's not the phone that is the problem.

mine works on the old version no prob, the new one is hit and miss. no problems inn 3rd party ones though.

The horizontal approach works, but that's not ideal for a stand-up charger unless watching videos.
