Wireless charging over night

For the past couple of nights while I've left the Note 8 on the wireless charger to charge and every morning I wake up the lock screen is on and the phone is very hot. Is there a reason why it's on? My S8+ never did this

Mine doesn't behave that way. By morning, the phone is fully charged, room-temperature, and the AOD is showing.

I have the freebie that came with the Note 8 and I have no issues at all. Full charge and cool to the touch when I get up.

Try using the wireless charger that came with your phone and see if you get the same results. Sometimes third party accessories like this do not perform as well with the device as Samsung-or manufacturer-branded products designed for use with the phone.

I'm using the same chotech chargers that I used with my Note 5 and I do not have this issue.
Perhaps a misbehaving app, or you've changed a setting.

My wireless stand doesn't get even warm but that is plugged into a usb not the fast charge wall plug, I would only use official accessories with that

I would try the normal charger as well as look through and see if any apps were running all night, perhaps it was under processing strain while charging.

mine is 3rd party (TYLT) from 2015 or so, and I have no heat or charging issues

You have to go to get Samsung Shop on your phone, open it and register your phone and then you will be elligible for the promotion (Camera or Wireless charger and MicroSD card).

I used the wireless charger that I got with the note 7, and it doesn't have fast charge. I used that for overnight charging. But for the fast charge that I got with the note 8, I use it at my desk at work, since I then would need quick charge when I forget to charge lol. The overnight charge, the phone doesn't feel hot, but the fast charge does feel hot, but I don't leave it longer on there until the phone is fully charge.

Is it safe for the battery to leave it on overnight? It won't harm the battery leaving it on the charger after it's full?

I don't have samsung shop on my phone. And when I bought the note Freedom Mobile didn't have any promotions
