So, I assume wireless charging doesn't work if you have a case on the phone?

If it is similar to the Pre then the problem with the case is the magnets actually are not powerful to hold up the phone with a case in between. At the same time the connectors would be to far away in most cases to charge anyway. Any type of skin or screen protector cover would still work.

Then this might be the first phone smartphone I've ever owned that won't have a case. Not sure if my OCD will be able to handle it.

You can do it. Phones are a lot like something else I can't think of off the top of my head...safer with a covering, but better without. Oh yeah, sandwiches!

Well the touchstone works great with my modded galaxy nexus... and the nexus 4 is almost the same weight and height. If the magnets are placed correctly in the phone and strong enough I just set it on there and it puts itself into place unlike my pre that I had to Adjust manually.
