Can anyone recommend a good wireless charging pad for the maxx?

Thank you all. Do I need to case the case off the back of my phone in order for it to charge?

While I love my Tylt Vu it doesn't connect as well with my Droid Maxx as it did when it was new. Often the phone will connect and then lose the connection only to reconnect again. Sometimes this pattern will continue for eight to ten cycles before the phone starts charging.
In fairness to Tylt I think the connection problem started when there was an OTA system upgrade.

Anyone else with a Vu have this problem?

I've seen this happen two or three times but pulling the Maxx from the charger and placing it back (as directed - put bottom of the phone on the base stand vertically and tip it back into the charger) has always made it start charging.

+1, this works for me. Had the same issue post one of the updates.

It does the same thing on the Q...whatever from the VZW store, so it's a software thing. It usually settles down eventually...tho' sometimes in mid charge it'll ding a couple times.

I agree, and I got mine for 50% last Christmas. Stay tuned in case they run the special again. My only regret was not getting 2. I'd love to have one to keep in my office.

Right, I bought the Tylt Vu with a 50% off sale, which they do every once in a while. I'm thinking of buying another if they go back on sale again.

Yeah, I could see $30 for the Tilt Vu. I'd actually like one, or one like it, for my Nexus 7 that I use for an alarm clock. It's currently on a stand that I have to plug in, and get concerned about wearing out the microUSB port. But still can't justify a $60 charger. I'll probably grab one if I see it half off, and haven't bought or rigged something else by then. lol

I've followed your recommendation for the last two nights and have noticed a big improvement. Thanks for the tip.

I have both the Tylt Vu and its Itian clone.

The Itian works much better with the Maxx, and is much cheaper.

I love my Tylt. I used it on my Droid Maxx, Note 3 and LG G2.

The G2 had a case and still worked fine.

One more thing to try: put the phone in the charger landscape rather than portrait. It seems weird, but it should work. See if that is more consistent.
