Wireless Charging...

It does seem like wireless charging may be built in. And the type of wireless charging is Qi thats been stated many times in the past. That being the case you can pick up a pad from amazon made by energizer and save yourself a couple of bucks or get the dual pad for the same cost as what verizon is selling them for. If wireless charing is already built into the case that will surely be the route that I am taking.

If that's the case, then that may be why the Revolution appears to be thicker than the Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt wireless charging back is available (or will be soon) and it has a hump which makes the accessories useless. At least this way the Revolution stock accessories will still work.

Why buy this over the Thunderbolt or Charge is a HUGE question in my mind? What are the manufacturers and Verizon thinking?

Why bring out 3 phones that are all pretty similar at the expense of bringing out a couple of different form factors of 4G (personally, I?d rather have a 4? or 3.7? 4G) is a valid question. But personally, I?m leaning towards this LG over the Tbolt or Charge.

The updated back color makes it look much better than what was shown before. Confirmed Netflix is a (small) plus, and built in wireless charging is great vs paying for a bumped-out charging back for the TBolt.

FWIW, here?s a link to some pictures of the Verizon pressers. The bottom pic shows the charging dock pretty clearly.

I just wish these wireless charging options weren?t so big and cumbersome looking. Coming from a Pre+ with a Touchstone charger on my desk at work and dresser at home, it really is a great setup HP has inherited.

Guess I pretty much agree with VZW bringing out 3 phones at the same time:

LG Revolution---LTE
Droid X2---3G
Trophy---Windows

Gives people options!

Not counting that odd-ball Casio phone (and the only slightly less odd ball xperia Play) VZW has or will imminently release 5 new phones. 4 of them are 4.3? pocket-exploders and the one 4? is just a plain, 1 core, 3G refresh.

Not cool.

Wireless Charging Battery Door SOLD SEPARATELY.... WTF???? So its probably larger than the stock battery door, thus won't fit stock cases/accessories?? Way to go LG...

Not just LG, but ALL of these wireless manufacturers are REALLY dropping the ball on marketing these new phones. It doesn't help that misinformation leaks out early, but maybe announcing actual specs and details earlier would help the consumer...
