Wireless charging

How come the pixel 2 does not have the wireless charging. Most new viechles have wireless charging docs. I love this phone it great fast with searching and downlaods, doesn't really have to many issues Besides when the phone restarts itself or shuts off when I'm texting or on a call. I've never had these issues with the lg g5 and Samsung Galaxy phones. So are these just little bigs that have to be worked out because it's a new phone.
