Wireless charging?

That would involve testing them through all to see if any do. Really too soon to tell.
I am not asking for a comprehensive list of ALL, just a link to a few. I cannot seem to find any on Amazon, and I want to make sure I am looking for the right features/key words.

I realize what you are asking. I'm saying that if some did exist it would be too soon to tell. One if the problems is that when you put it on another rapid charging stand the phone will indicate rapid charging but it is actually slow charging. Honestly I think Google came with a way of making it only rapid charge either their own stand.

Do you guys think this can be changed with a future update? I hope enough people complain about it and Google will push out an update that allowed third party rapid charge wireless.

It depends on what the issue is. With wired chargers you have to use Power Delivery (PD) compatible chargers instead of QC 3.0.
I don't know what what is preventing third party wirelesd chargers from rapid charging. If it's just software it could be corrected but I'm not sure and don't know who knows at this point.

I've had one of these wireless chargers on my desk at work which I had been using with my previous phone:

https://www.amazon.com/TYLT-Wireles...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6376565

Got to work today and threw my Pixel 3XL on it, and it instantly said "charging rapidly". It did indeed bring it from about 90% up to 100% in just a few minutes.

I have an original Tylt VU and get the same "charging rapidly" message. I checked it with Ampere, and it was not charging rapidly -- in fact it was quite slow -- @500mA. My guess is you will find the same if you measure it.

I have one of those

All of them indicate rapid charging even though they aren't putting out as much as they should be.

Wireless charging still ahs work to be done. It takes too long to charge for quick use. It's ok for an overnight charge or top-off.

We are the same page ...lol. it's physically impossible without making the phone bigger and generating way too much heat.

But my question is by a factor of how much? My OG XL plug and cord are between 2500 and 3000mA; my Anker Faster Chager PD brick is the same, though the other day it went as high as 3500. That makes it roughly 6 times faster than my wireless charger.

I would love to know how fast the Stand charges. If it gets up to 1000mA, that would be pretty good.

I don't know....when it comes to fast charging I don't care much about the details as long as I don't have to wait a long time before I get ready to bounce. When I have some free time I may do a ball park test. Maybe see how long they both take from 40 to 90 percent. I don't trust those apps that tell me the charging rate because all seem to be off depending on what's running on the phone.

That's probably fair. If I had a Stand I would do a side by side by side. I took all 3 of those measurements in 5 minutes with the phone in the same identical state, which should limit Type 1 error.

I want to know the answer for a similar reason. If a stand is twice as fast or more compared to my Tylt, that will impact how much I am willing to pay for it.

I'll try to compare it to the Tylt

The pixel stand charges rapidly. Other stands do not but the phone says they do. for whatever reason they've decided to make it only compatible with their stands.
I'm not sure what the motivation is. Could be they want to sell more of their own product.

OMG! Too many games Google.

In any test, you need to start with the batteries at the same beginning percentage. The emptier the battery, the faster the charge rate will be. 20 to 60 is faster than 60 to 100. Except for the Apple, whose sof5warw states its at 100 even after 10 minutes of sot
