Wireless chraging.

talked to a Samsung Best Buy rep yesterday he said a wireless charging stand for the S7 is coming out on or near the 11th too!

I ordered 2 of the wireless charging stands and can't wait to get them. I tend to charge my phone at night before I go to bed. Does anyone see this severely decreasing the battery life by leaving it on this fast charging wireless stand at night?

Good news. Got a free one for signing up for Samsung Pay.

The one Samsung is giving away is not, however, a fast charge wireless puck. It's last year's "slow" version. It will work just fine, though.

Does this charger work with 220 volt electrical outlets (common outside USA), or does it only work with 110 volt outlets?

I don't know for sure, but every electronics charger I've had over the last several years will work on either 110 or 220 volt inputs.

No. Once the battery is fully charged it stops charging, whether plugged in or wireless.

For those with Samsung.com pre-orders, I suspect they will begin shipping pre-order accessories so users receive them close to launch day.

Some stores should have them on launch day.

How long does it take to charge the S7 using the non-fast wireless charger vs using the fast wireless charger.

Standard Qi charger takes about 2.5 hours to charge a dead battery.

Fast charger should do it in around 1.5 hours.

Only thing I'm concerned about is excessive heat from fast charger. We shall see once I receive it.

Noticed the manual for the official Samsung wireless charger says to unplug the pad when not in use. Do you guys do this? Safety concern of some kind?

"When the mobile device is fully charged, disconnect the travel adapter from the wireless charger. "

I would think that's more of a "let's save the world by unplugging every single device you're not currently using or charging" message.

Figured as much. Otherwise loving this with the S7 Edge. I know it's not the latest "fast wireless charger", but it performs flawlessly even with a case on. So far working with both the Spigen Rugged Armor and Speck Candyshell Grip.

the Samsung fast charger, the saucer flat one, that has a fan for heat, i can hear it if i listen closely to it.
no plans of unplugging between uses here.

Anybody currently using a wireless charger on their S7? I'm using the one I had for my Note 5 and it's not charging my S7. It looks like it should be working - lights up, screen comes on showing it's charging, but it just sits at the same percentage and gets hot. It worked fine with my Note 5 days ago.

EDIT - same results with or without a case.

I noticed, back when I used a wireless charger for my LG G3, it would charge the phone battery completely, then shut off. So by putting the phone on the wireless charging pad at 10 pm, it reached full charge by sometime around midnight, and at 6 am, the charge had withered to 95%. perhaps due to apps upgrading overnight on WiFi. It was annoying to wake to a phone without a 100% charge in the morning. When using a plug in charger, the phone would always be at 100% in the morning, apparently being trickle charged.
Do the new wireless chargers keep the phone battery at 100% all night?

Regardless, would doze not stop those apps from updating and such draining your battery?

But overnight with WiFi is the best time to allow those apps to be updated.
