Wireless powershare for gear S3

Anybody else having issues with trying to Wireless powershare for the great S3? Can't seem to get it to charge. I've tried it with phones and it works fine.

Mine seems to be working. Only tried it long enough to confirm that it triggers the charger to initiate charging my watch. Just turn on power, place the watch on the back of the phone right in the middle and I got the charging dialogue on my watch.

I took it out of my case and it worked fine. I have the OtterBox defender on. It's just strange because it charged my son's iPhone no problem, and he has a case on his too. The S3 must just have a weaker sensor than a phone.

The iPhone's charging coil is probably larger than the one in the gear S3 so the otterbox case caused it not to charge? I havent tested mine with my watch yet though
