Be careful this time and read over the directions, all of them before doing something I found that out the hard way playing with roms.

I meant make a nandroid backup using Rom manager/Clockworkmod recovery. This is very important. Titanium backup is good but it's not the same sort of backup and it's not nearly as important.

Yeah I saw Rom manager listed in another thread and used that. I am now rooted and backed up!

So I did IT!!!!! Super stoked......i did it manually, and flashed the BAMF 1.5 REMIX...I am up and running......now just need to understand kernals and which one to use and why.....do I need to flash a radio or is it alreay included with the BAMF 1.5 remix flash??

Here's my advice, coming from a 1 week old root/rom/kernal guy.
Download all of Adrenalyn's radios. There are 4. Stock to new LTE and CDMA. Label them in folder accordingly.
I've tried all the radios. Stock still works best for me. Others mileage may vary.

I've bounced between Adrenalyn's 4.2.2 kernal and imoseyon's.
I like imoseyon's Extreme 1.42 and 1.92X. I'm sticking with the Extreme 1.42.
Make sure you download SetCPU as well. The Kernal is set to overlock, undervolt as is...but you can fine tune it with SetCPU. I turn mine all the way down, through profiles, when the screen is off.

It's pretty amazing what you can do with these phones once they are rooted, rom'd, kernal'd and debloated.
