with Froyo still only MP4 video will play?

I thought i had read somewhere previously that with Froyo we would be able to view any video format be it MP4, AVI ETC...
 
If you download a simple app, (from the market nonetheless) your video playback range will spike. I have RockPlayer. It rocks, lol...
 
Now if we could just "officially" remove that pesky a$$ fps cap...it's degrading watching a movie with Rockplayer only to see numbers hovering around 28.8 - 29.3 fps in the corner :(

Curious what movies you're watching that were shot above 30fps?
 
That's news to me. I've been playing WMVs ever since I got my EVO using the stock video player. With 2.2, you can also play downloaded FLVs on it with the free FLV Player from the market.
