with Froyo still only MP4 video will play?

If you download a simple app, (from the market nonetheless) your video playback range will spike. I have RockPlayer. It rocks, lol...

I'm not entirely sure, but it's a great player. I'm certain there are other players out there with avi playback capabilities, just Google it

Now if we could just "officially" remove that pesky a$$ fps cap...it's degrading watching a movie with Rockplayer only to see numbers hovering around 28.8 - 29.3 fps in the corner

exactly. all the movies I've seen play just fine at that framerate.

That's news to me. I've been playing WMVs ever since I got my EVO using the stock video player. With 2.2, you can also play downloaded FLVs on it with the free FLV Player from the market.
