Sounds like your homepage was changed. While in the browser, press Menu, Settings (may need to scroll up to see settings), General, Set home page. When it pops up with options, choose "Default page" to put it back to Google

Edit: those instructions are for the stock browser. Just realized you said you're using Chrome. I don't use it so not sure the exact steps to check the homepage.

Went back to stock and fixed to Google. Hate how they push Bing
